Meditating With Crystals

Firstly do not worry that you might be doing it wrong. The idea is to relax in the presence of the crystal.
Clear quartz is a fantastic meditation aid, although you can use any crystal of your choice, the crystal you choose is the right one for you.
You will find clear quartz has a quietening effect on the mind. Look through and into this solid matter, notice the extraordinary order and stability of the crystal. Now is the time for problem solving, if you have a problem or worry, think about the situation for a minute. Do not concern yourself about thoughts, but gaze deeply into the crystal. As your mind becomes quiet you may find the solution to the problem or have a new idea come to you during the course of the day.

One should sit quietly with ones crystals as it will give great insight to how they work and how to use them as healing tools, as well as develop your sensitivity to the energies. Sit comfortably and gaze into your crystal. Take your time and look closely at it in detail while allowing your focus to relax. Pay attention to what you feel and the and the quality of your thoughts. Are they calm or busy? Do they carry a particular emotion or memory? Notice any sensations in your body. After a few minutes remove the crystal and replace it with another. Repeat the process and compare the experiences. When you finished take a few moments sitting and taking in some slow deep breaths with your eyes closed.

Hold the crystal a comfortable distance from you so that you can easily gaze into the depths of the stone. Once again do not worry if you doing it 'Right" but relax and gaze into the stone. After a while (1-3 minutes), gently close your eyes. If you feel tension or pressure anywhere take a couple of slow deep breaths, and consciously relax again. Repeat the procedure several times if you wish. Take your time to 'return' before finishing this meditation exercise.
